There is no difference among the four schools in the opinion that if abortion after the elapse of four months of pregnancy, by any means, by the woman herself (with the help of medicines, or by some other means), or, caused to her by another (even if it is by the husband), such as, for instance, a hit on the stomach (or at some other part of the body), or the woman intentionally left hungry, or prevented from taking medicine essential for the continuation of pregnancy, or an intentionally created fearful noise, or some shocking words (such as, playful announcement of false news of death of a dear one), or verbal threat of violence (even if it involves no action), whether – in all such cases - the intention is miscarriage or not, entails sins and bloodwit, which is (whether child arrives dead, or dies after birth), one-half of one-tenth of the full bloodwit amount of an adult of the same class (free, slave, dhimmi, etc.), that is, five percent – paid to the deserving.
