Abdullah B Al Arqam (d. 35 H) عبدالله بن الأرقم
The son of famous Arqam ibn abi al Arqam. Although his father was, according to some reports, seventh Muslim at Makkah, he himself embraced Islam only after the fall of Makkah. Nonetheless, he won the Prophet's trust very soon. He became his secretary, in charge of correspondence with kings, rulers and governors. Abu Bakr retained him in the same position after the Prophet (saws). `Umar gave him treasury, in which capacity he worked with `Uthman also, but without a salary. A very pious, trustworthy man, he died in 35 H.
