Abdullah B Abdullah B Ubayy B Sallul (d. 12 H) عبدالله بن عبدالله بن أبي بن سلول
Son of the chief of the hypocrites at Madinah. He participated at Badr, Uhud and all other important battles although his father had withdrawn from the Uhud battle. During the Ghazwah Bani Mustaliq when his father said (63: 8), “The honorable ones shall drive out the ignoble ones (from Madinah),” he denounced his father and responded, “Messenger of Allah! He, indeed, is the ignoble one and you are the honorable one!” He sought his permission to behead his father, but he would not allow him that. However, with an unsheathed sword in his hand and blocking the way at the entrance to Madinah, he forced his father to utter words to the effect that the Prophet (saws) was the honorable one, before he would let him pass. Two years after the Prophet (saws), he was martyred in the battle of Yamamah fighting against the apostates.
