Islam: - The religion of peace and love

The word “Islam” itself refers toward “peace”. The root word of “Islam” is “silm” that gives the meaning of:-

“Making peace, being in a mutually peaceful environment, greetings, rescue, safety, being secure, finding peace, reaching salvation and well being or being far from danger, attaining goodness, comfort and favor, keeping away from troubles and disasters, submitting the self and obeying, respect, being far from wrong."

The above given definition tells that Islam means to live in a peaceful environment. This peaceful environment can be created while submission to Allah Almighty. In Quran E Hakeem it is being told that we should follow silm and avoid following the path of Satan. In Quran E Hakeem it is said in Surah Al-Baqra that:-

enter into Islam whole heartedly and do not follow in the footsteps of Satan

“O you who have believed, enter into Islam whole heartedly and do not follow in the footsteps of Satan, indeed he is your avowed enemy.”

Actually Satan is the enemy of peace.

The Actual Purpose of Islam

In Sura Al-Saba it is said that:-

a harbinger of good tiding and a Warner

“And, We have not sent you but for all mankind: a harbinger of good tiding and a Warner; but most of the people do not know.”

This verse of Quran E Hakeem tells us the real and actual purpose of Islam. At another place it is said that:-

have not sent you (O Muhammad) but as a mercy to the worlds

“And, We have not sent you (O Muhammad) but as a mercy to the worlds.”

This verse tells that Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) was sent as a mercy to the worlds. The religion which he preached was Islam. So Islam is no doubt a religion of mercy. According to Quran E Hakeem Muslims should solve all the matters with peace. It is said that:-

The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your two (factional) brothers

“The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your two (factional) brothers. And fear Allah haply that you may be shown mercy.”

Importance of social peace in Islam

In Islam the life of every person has value. In Quran E Hakeem it is said that:-

And whosoever saved a life as if saved the life of the whole of mankind

“On that account, We prescribed for the Children of Israel, that whosoever killed a soul not for retaliation of another, or for spreading disorder in the land, as if killed the whole of the mankind. And whosoever saved a life as if saved the life of the whole of mankind. And Our messengers came to them with definite signs, yet, notwithstanding that, many of them thereafter remained committing excesses in the land.”

Islam is a religion of love and it says to its follower to love all humanity. W should love with animals even and should treat in best way.

In today’s world many non-Muslims says that Islam is a religion of terrorism, violence and war. But actually it is not like this. Actually they rely on Media news which cannot be accurate. Many TV channels, Radio stations, and news paper tells that thing about what their owner have certain views. Ahead of blindly accepting what it, radio or maybe newspaper is usually reporting, one should think critically by what is staying reported. Is this staying reported accurately, or will it be being exaggerated or perhaps completely fabricated? Who are they will report the news, and do they have vested hobbies to statement the story in a certain method, or usually are they fully objective and also fair? Critical thinking is very important in all issues with life, especially when it comes to accepting the particular media reviews about essential and controversial issues.
Islam is in fact a religion that stimulates peace and also understanding among people of most faiths, plus it strongly discourages all types of violence and also aggression against anyone regardless of their faith or maybe race. May Allah Give us the power to study Islam in dept and to follow the teachings of Islam(Amen).
