The beauty of an Ummati is from their Akhlaq
Akhlaq is an Arabic word which gives the meaning of to practice morality, virtues and good manners.Husn E Akhlaq has so much importance I n Islam. It is the beauty of an Ummati. The meaning of Husn E Akhlaq is a particular behavior and the attitude with the other person. It is said by Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that every Umati is beautiful but the beauty of an Ummati is from their Akhlaq.
As other creatures we have physical needs like to eat and to sleep but our Akhlaq makes us different from other creatures. We are humans because of our Aklaq. It means that the thing which makes us humans is Akhlaq.
The Akhlaq of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH)
Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) had the best Akhlaq. His Akhlaq is a best example for followers. He did not say wrong to his enemies even. His Akhlaq was excellent. He never ever talked in insulting manners. In Quran E Hakeem it is said about the Akhlaq of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that:-
“And, We have not sent you (O Muhammad) but as a mercy to the worlds.”
40 years was spending by holy Prophet (PBUH) in a non Muslim society. That arrogant society was full of every kind of sins. It was so difficult to tell those illiterate people about how to live. But Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) did this with showing good Akhlaq. He never used harsh words with his enemies. The best example of best Akhlaq is the Akhlaq of Hazrat Mohammd (PBUH). We should follow this example. It is said many times in Quran E Hakeem that we should follow the example of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH). In Quran E Hakeem it is said that:-
“Tell them, 'If you (truly) love Allah, follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is very forgiving, very Kind. Tell them (also), 'Obey Allah and the Messenger.’ But if they turn away, (then) Allah does not approve of the unbelievers.”
It is said by Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that:-
"The most beloved to me amongst you is the one who has the best character and manners."
At another place it is said by Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that:-
“By his good character a believer will attain the degree of one who prays during the night and fasts during the day.”
That person is excellent who is having good Akhlaq. So we should treat with excellent Akhlaq with others. We should treat in well manners with others. It is said by Holy Prophet (PBUH) that:-
"The best of you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family.”
How to show Good Akhlaq?
It is said by Holy Prophet (PBUH) that:-
“Those of you who will be closest to me on the Day of Judgment will be those who have the best Akhlaq.”
For good Akhlaq we should try to study the books which tell about the ways of holy Prophet and to practice those ways. We should help others because it brings the nourishment of our soul. We should try our best to have control on our anger. Let’s make a promise to show good Akhlaq to everyone because good Akhlaq is the crown of a momin. May Allah make us a true Momin (Amen).
